Online Resources for Learning at Home - Access to Digital Learning Materials

With learning experiences and opportunities shifting to online environments while we are #TogetherApart, many publishers and content creators are making their copyright-protected online content available by extending free access to students, families, and educators. The team at ARC-BC has created a list of these content providers to support efforts to ensure continuity of learning for all students in British Columbia.

  • Some resources require the creation of an individual user account while others have generic credentials posted next to the hyperlink. Usernames and passwords are case sensitive. 
  • We will keep updating this page as we become of new resources. Check back often! We will also post update notifications to the ARC-BC Twitter account. 
  • Our friends at the National Network for Equitable Library Services (NNELS) have created a news page with accessible graphs and charts to provide information on COVID-19 in Canada.

A reminder that the use of digital alternate format materials downloaded from ARC-BC is limited to students with perceptual disabilities.
The Copyright Act of Canada allows for the creation of alternate format versions of published works for benefit of these learners. More information on the appropriate use of ARC-BC materials under federal copyright law can be found in our Training resources. By using ARC-BC materials appropriately within the legal framework set out by the Copyright Act, all users work to ensure the integrity and stability of this provincial resource.
